Be SMART aH ~~

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Salam'alayk... (adapted from SMART planning for business or project)

Once you have planned your "USRAH @ programme", turn your attention to developing several goals that will enable you to be successful. Goals should be SMART - Specific, Measurable, Action-oriented, Realistic and Time-based.

A goal might be to hold a weekly "SYURA" with the key members of your team or to organise and run a continuous "MUJAHADAH & MUHASABAH" throughout the project.

The acronym SMART has a number of slightly different variations, which can be used to provide a more comprehensive definition for goal setting:

S - specific, significant, stretching

M - measurable, meaningful, motivational

A - agreed upon, attainable, achievable, acceptable, action-oriented

R - realistic, relevant, reasonable, rewarding, results-oriented

T - time-based, timely, tangible, trackable

H - Halal (follow the syari'ah)

This provides a broader definition that will help you to be successful in both your "dunya wal akhirah".

When you next run a "USRAH @ programme" take a moment to consider whether your goals are SMART goals.

SMART ~aH Goals (^_^)

Specific

  • Well defined
  • Clear to anyone that has a basic knowledge of the programme

Measurable

  • Know if the goal is obtainable and how far away completion is
  • Know when it has been achieved

Action-oriented

  • Agreement with all the team what the goals and actions should be

Realistic

  • Within the availability of resources, knowledge and time

Time Based

  • Targetting time to achieve the goal and examine the output
  • Not too much time, or lagging which can affect programme "natijah"
Halal
  • In everything we do, we have the guardline (Al-Quran & As-Sunnah). Follow them and we will gain the "Rahmah & Maghfirah" from Allah SWT.
InsyaAllah... in all we did, we should have our target and goal. Same go to
us, if we want to change ourself. Make the target and goal to achieve it. We are not 'malaikat' or angel. List out our problems and things to change, set the time period and lastly, have the people to support and give the 'nasihah'...

InsyaAllah... if we want the changes to happen, it starts within ourself first !

p/s: vote for change... =p selamat mengundi semua hari ini...

Wassalam...
