Life as Muslim Medic !~

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Salam'alayk...

A lot of things had occured this week. Alhamdulillah. Just finishing the 3rd Credit for Physiology. There some more credits to come before the final exam. I have no idea how's the final exams will be on June, still the date is being discussed by my batch. I pray & hope, it will not change over 27th June as that's the date i will fly off to msia, insyaAllah. But the date that is stated by the Dean Office is like this :
11/06/10 (Friday) - Immunology
14/06/10 (Monday) - Biochemistry
19/06/10 (Saturday) - Physiology
I think we should have some more gaps between the exams. Yeah, especially for me, who need to study & memorize all the things again and again till the very end, huhu.. it's not easy for me.. If I have a very very great memory like the prophet's companion, who could remember every single word (hadith) came out from the Prophet Rasulullah SAW's mouth just at once, MasyaAllah... Who can remember the name of the companion? I can't recall it!!! Astaghfirullah... (~_~)

It's not about how much effort we put that determine the success. It's not the matter of spending one week more to study or having all the past year questions to revise. It is everything about 'Rahmat' & mercy from Allah SWT. Even we are still be in ISLAM or have a dust of IMAN today is because of Allah's Will and Rahmah... Not other than that!

InsyaAllah, at this short entry, always I have something to share with you. All the medical students, please listen and have a look at this video!! Jazakumullahu khair to whom who send this aspiring talk to me.

Medicine and Medics have a great position in Islam. One of the great scholars of our Ummah, Imam Shafi’i (may Allah have mercy on him) states in a very beautiful statement:

العلم علمان علم الفقه للاديان و علم الطب للابدان

Knowledge and Sciences that are really worth studying and learning are only two, one is worldly and the other related to the hereafter, but in reality both relate to the hereafter: First is “religious knowledge (ilmul fiqhi li ’l-adyan). The science of Islamic jurisprudence relates to your life in terms of how you practice Islam. It includes all the laws related to halal and haram, the rules of Salah, Zakat, Hajj, marriage, divorce, inheritance, business, etc. This is Islamic knowledge. The other knowledge and science worth studying is Medicine for the preservation of one’s body.
Imam Shafi’i (may Allah have mercy on him) also said: “I am not aware of anything, besides the knowledge of Halal and Haram (ilm al-halal wa ‘l-haram, i.e. Islamic knowledge) nobler than the knowledge of Medicine.”
MasyaAllah... we are always complaining about difficulties on studying & memorizing this and that, but we shouldn't right, since this is one of our way to serve the Ummah. Make it be the tool & medium of dakwah... InsyaAllah, make our intention correctly brothers and sisters.

May Allah SWT reward us the best in all we do... Pray for our success... insyaAllah... (^_^)
